The Intensive Comprehensive Aphasia Program at Kean University is a treatment program specifically designed for individuals with aphasia in which student clinicians, along with their supervisor, provide approximately 3 hours of daily treatment over a period of 7 weeks. Treatment includes individual and group therapy, client/caregiver education, and technology to target the impairment as well as increase the client’s participation levels of language and communication functioning.  A baseline evaluation prior to the treatment program and a post-evaluation after the treatment program will be conducted to determine client progress.  The overall goal of the program is to use evidence based treatment to maximize communication potential and enhance life participation in a functional manner.
