The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Barkley Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic offers individual and group treatment for aphasia and other brain injury related communication disorders. Our aphasia group meets once a week for 1.5 hours and focuses on learning communication skills from others, transferring communication skills into a group setting, and learning about aphasia. Our individual services include remediation and compensation for the communication effects of aphasia. We have expertise in AAC use in aphasia. We also have an aphasia partners program that links people with aphasia with a partner to engage with them in activities in the community. Our patients also have access to some loaner equipment for use in home programming. Please call in advance for an appointment 402-472-2071
