The National Aphasia Association and the Academy of Aphasia are once again honoring the memory of longtime board member Barbara Martin with two more research grants aimed at funding one-year, preliminary studies that can launch larger-scale aphasia research studies.
These $10,000 grants are seeds that bloom into longer research projects that benefit the aphasia community.
The Barbara Martin Aphasia Research Grant aims to capture the spirit of Barbara’s work to increase national awareness of aphasia. Clinicians are invited to apply for the grants, but we also wanted to inform the whole aphasia community. We support researchers who support you. Our goal is to give people with aphasia more options for treating aphasia in the future.
We invite you to learn more about Barbara Martin, the namesake of this award.
