National Aphasia Association Ambassador Newsletter
Resource of the Month
October 2026
Resource Spotlight
This month’s resource is An Ambassador’s Story, a PowerPoint template designed for NAA Ambassadors.
The presentation helps Ambassadors share their story while also helping others learn about aphasia. There are two versions available: a short version and a longer version, so that Ambassadors can choose what works best for their presentation.
What This Resource Is
An Ambassador’s Story gives Ambassadors a ready-to-use presentation that can be personalized with their own experiences.
The presentation includes space to:
Introduce yourself as an NAA Ambassador
Share your personal story
Add pictures or a video from your journey
Help others understand that aphasia is different for every person
The longer version also includes more information about aphasia including:
How aphasia can affect communication
Treatment and support
Different ways to communicate
Tips for being a good communication partner
Additional NAA resources

Share: Use the presentation at awareness events, support groups, or other speaking opportunities.
Connect: Use your own experiences to help others better understand aphasia.
