The NAA Ambassador Program, launched in 2025, empowers people with aphasia, care partners, professionals, and allies to be advocates and educators in their own communities. Whether you’re hosting a conversation at a local event or simply sharing resources, every voice makes a difference.
The NAA Ambassador Program is a national network of volunteers raising awareness about aphasia through community outreach, education, and advocacy. Ambassadors speak with schools, businesses, churches, civic groups, and the public—helping more people understand aphasia and how to communicate effectively with those affected by it.
We’re building a world where everyone knows the word “aphasia,” and no one with aphasia feels invisible.
Anyone touched by aphasia—people with aphasia, family members, caregivers, professionals, or supporters—is welcome to apply. All you need is passion and a desire to help others understand aphasia. You will be sent additional information and a training presentation to help get you up to speed. We also have a Mentoring program if you would appreciate some support on this advocacy journey.
