Ask the Expert – Aphasia Research in Action

What: Ask the Expert is a free, interactive webinar putting people with aphasia in touch with experts in aphasia-related fields. This month, join us for a special panel spotlighting the National Aphasia Association’s commitment to advancing aphasia research. This session features three of our 2025 grant recipients—Dr. Amy Vogel-Eyny, Dr. Mara Steinberg Lowe, and S. Arheix-Parras—who will share highlights from their innovative studies focused on post-stroke aphasia, Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA), and accessible therapy techniques. Learn how their work is improving communication outcomes, promoting mental health, and paving the way for future discoveries. We’ll also introduce the new Research section of our website—a growing hub for accessible updates, study opportunities, and collaborations that center the voices of people with aphasia.
