What is the Night of Aphasia Arts?
Night of Aphasia Arts is an annual special event hosted by the National Aphasia Association that showcases creative work by people with aphasia.
Each year, artists share their work in a virtual gallery and live event that highlights expression in all forms—not just speech.
Art, music, writing, movement, video, and digital works all communicate meaning—without relying on spoken language. Night of Aphasia Arts honors these many ways of expressing identity, emotion, and connection.
Who Are the Artists?
People living with aphasia have submited original work in various creative mediums, including (but not limited to):
- Visual art (painting, drawing, photography, collage)
- Writing (poetry, short text, storytelling)
- Music or sound
- Movement or dance
- Video or digital art; mixed media
