Behind every successful initiative at the National Aphasia Association is a network of dedicated volunteers whose passion and commitment drive real change. These individuals work tirelessly—often behind the scenes—advising support groups, leading special projects, and championing our mission at every turn.
We are deeply grateful to the committee and task force members who contribute their time and insight across our programs and initiatives. The NAA’s active committees include: Governance, Finance, Marketing & Communications, Program, Outreach, and Research. Each committee is chaired by a Board member and includes individuals with lived experience of aphasia, care partners, professionals, and advocates from across the country. These committees guide key areas of our work and often form specialized task forces to address emerging priorities and projects. Volunteers also serve as advisors and administrative support for special events and ongoing offerings by the NAA.
