The Georgia Aphasia Project, Inc. is a new nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and
enhancing the lives of individuals with aphasia in Georgia. We aim to design programs based on
the Life Participation Approach to Aphasia (LPAA), which focuses on re-engaging people with
aphasia in their daily lives and communities. At the Georgia Aphasia Project, we are dedicated to restoring hope and fostering determination, purpose, and engagement in those affected by aphasia. Through group sessions, family training, and a variety of other programs, we aim to empower individuals on their journey to reclaim their communication skills.
We are currently offering bi-weekly communication groups for people with aphasia and monthly support groups for care-partners. We offer both in-person and virtual options.
