The Purdue Aphasia Recovery Lab studies how aphasia affects one’s ability to understand and produce speech. Our lab’s research is completed using a variety of tasks and our long-term goal is to develop cost-effective treatment approaches for individuals with aphasia. The Stroke Support Group meets in person on the second Monday of each month from 6:30-7:30 pm. This support group is a collaboration between a local senior living community and several Purdue stroke research labs. The Purdue Korean Community is a group established with the Aphasia Lab in collaboration with Korean-speaking clinicians. Their mission is to provide a supportive environment and resources to Korean-speaking immigrants in the US. Meetings are free and are conducted in Korean via Zoom.
