The Purdue Aphasia Research Lab studies how aphasia affects one’s ability to understand and produce speech. Our lab’s research is completed using a variety of tasks and our long-term goal is to develop cost-effective treatment approaches for individuals with aphasia. Research sessions can be conducted online (desktop or laptop computer) or in person.
The Aphasia Support Group and Book club aims to connect people with aphasia and their caregivers. The group meets 1-2 times per month over Zoom. Participation is free, but you must register for the Zoom link. Details are updated frequently on Facebook and our website.
The Purdue Korean Community is a group established with the Aphasia Lab in collaboration with Korean-speaking clinicians. Their mission is to provide a supportive environment and resources to Korean-speaking immigrants in the US. Meetings are free and are conducted in Korean via Zoom. Meetings take place the second Thursday of every month at 7 pm EST. More information is located on our website as well as here: https://sites.google.com/view/koreanaphasiacommunity/home.
