The Stroke & Aphasia Recovery (STAR) Program is a community outreach program of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) School of Health Professions serving people in the Lubbock, Texas, and surrounding areas. From September through May, the STAR Program provides free, weekly small group meetings for people with aphasia and other communication challenges due to left or right hemispheric stroke, traumatic brain injury, and/or progressive diseases. During the first 2 weeks of June, the STAR Program offers a free summer aphasia arts day camp/program.
The TTUHSC Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic offers fee-based individual speech-language evaluation and therapy services.
