Established in 2007, the Suncoast Aphasia Support Group includes people with aphasia and their spouses, families and friends. It is as much for the person with aphasia as it is for their caregiver. Our mission is to provide a friendly, welcoming and positive environment for all people whose lives have been affected by aphasia. This mission is achieved by offering support through monthly meetings, guest speakers, networking and social activities. Our goal is to provide a forum where individuals with aphasia can feel comfortable and it is our hope that through this forum, long lasting friendships can be made. We meet in the 3rd Floor Classroom at the SMH Rehab Pavilion at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Arlington Street, Sarasota, FL on the first Mondays each month at 5:30pm.
