How People with Aphasia Use Technology

What is the research about?

• The purpose of this study is to learn how people with aphasia use digital technology in everyday life.
• Today, many people use digital tools to communicate, get information, and take part in social activities. Because of this, it is important to understand what makes technology easier or harder to use for people with aphasia.
• In this study, we will look at what kinds of digital activities people with aphasia use (e.g., emailing, watching movies) and we will also look at what accessibility features people use (e.g., text-to-speech, captions)
• In this study, participants will be asked to complete a short online survey.
• Participants will receive payment after completing the survey.

Who is this study for?

• Adult 18 years or older
• Person with aphasia after stroke
• Caregiver or family who helps 10+ hours each week

Who is this study not for?

• Individuals who have had progressive neurological conditions (e.g., dementia)
