Naming Treatment Study with Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation

What is the research about?
- People will receive quality naming treatment; 15 sessions over 3 weeks (daily)
- Half of the people in the study will also receive brain stimulation along with naming therapy; placebo condition
- Participants will receive an MRI prior to treatment and EEG's before the treatment, immediately after the treatment, and after 3 months
- Participants will complete speech-language assessments before the treatment, immediately after the treatment, and after 3 months

Who is this study for?
- left-sided stroke, resulting in aphasia
- MRI-safe & brain stimulation safety. No implanted metal or devices, especially in the head or neck
- proficient in English. The treatment is conducted in English
- adults only; ages 18-85
Who is this study not for?
- right hemisphere frontal lesion (from right-sided stroke)
- medical instability
- contraindications for MRI or brain stimulation
