About the Author:

Michael Obel-Omia is a public speaker, writer, and educator who has lived with aphasia since a stroke in 2016. In his ongoing journey of recovery of, he found inspiration in poetry- a medium that allows him to express what speech cannot. A passionate advocate for stroke survivors and individuals with aphasia, Michael has published numerouns essays and a compelling collection of poetry titled: Finding my Words: Aphasia Poetry.
