Sam and Pink Puppy are awaiting Dad’s return from the hospital, following his stroke. Everyone is excited but also a bit nervous. Dad now has aphasia, making it harder for him to communicate. Sam does not understand why everything feels different now.
Join Sam, Pink Puppy as they learn about stroke, aphasia and that, together, they can find new ways to communicate.

About the author: Lisa Samson is a speech-language pathologist who has worked with individuals and families with aphasia and acquired brain injuries since graduating from the University of Toronto in 2008. Lisa developed her clinical skill set while working at the Aphasia Institute, where she practiced for over 10 years. Lisa is an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) at McMaster University. Using the Life Participation Approach to Aphasia and supported conversation techniques, Lisa has guided numerous families, individuals, and healthcare professionals. Lisa currently works at March of Dimes Canada serving clients in the General Toronto Area.
