When Words Don’t Come Easy is a podcast and YouTube channel focused on life after stroke and aphasia.

Hosted by Justin Chlowitz with his father Roger, a stroke survivor living with aphasia, the show features honest conversations with people with aphasia, caregivers, speech language pathologists, and advocates. Episodes center on communication, recovery, caregiving, and the realities of long term life with aphasia.

The goal is to increase awareness, reduce isolation, and provide a space where people affected by aphasia feel seen, understood, and less alone.

Justin Chlowitz is the co host and creator of When Words Don’t Come Easy. He is the son of Roger and helps lead conversations that center real life after stroke and aphasia, focusing on listening, patience, and making space for communication to happen on its own terms.

Roger Chlowitz is a stroke survivor living with aphasia and the co host of When Words Don’t Come Easy. Through his participation in the show, Roger shares his lived experience with aphasia and recovery, helping others feel represented, understood, and less alone.
