More Information: Mindfulness meditation has been practiced for centuries by Buddhists. It took hold in this country in the 1970s. Perhaps the most influential proponent has been Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D., who founded the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

This program offers weekly sessions that include explanations of the principles of mindfulness and guided meditations. In addition, the program includes written summaries of principles of mindfulness meditation and information on other resources. Participants are encouraged to attend each session. Each session builds on the next one.

This program is led by Seth Brunner. Seth is a member of the Board of Directors and a long-term meditator. Seth experiences aphasia as a result of a stroke he experienced many years ago. If you have any questions, please email Seth at seth@aphasia.org, or email the NAA at answers@aphasia.org.
