What is the research about?
- This trial will help identify the best strategies to support communication and quality of life for people with PPA and their communication partners.
- All sessions happen by telehealth on Zoom.
- You will work with clinicians, such as a speech-language pathologist on evidence-based practices for people with PPA.
Where does this research study take place?
All sessions take place at home by telehealth (Zoom)
Can I participate virtually?
Yes
Who is this study for?
- Mild to moderate PPA diagnosis (all PPA subtypes/variants eligible)
- English is the primary language used in daily life
- Have a communication partner (e.g., spouse, family member) willing to participate
- Have adequate experience with technology and reliable internet
Who is this study not for?
- A diagnosis of dementia that is not Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA).
- Participating in speech-language therapy somewhere else during the study.
Will I be compensated for this study, or are there costs?
Yes. Participants will receive an iPad to use for the study. After finishing the full study, participants may keep the iPad.
