Description: June is Aphasia Awareness Month! We were thrilled to offer a special Ask the R.E.A.L. (Relatable, Experience, Aphasia Leaders) Expert series featuring people with aphasia.
This fourth and final webinar in the series featured three experts with aphasia: Denise Lowell, Trish Hambridge, and Sherry Lovellette. We shared videos submitted by the aphasia community about how they educate others about aphasia and communicate with others in the community, discuss how the pandemic has changed how we connect with others (for better and for worse), and highlight some of the exciting, inspiring advocacy initiatives led by people with aphasia.
We also heard a closing message from Darlene Williamson, NAA Board President.
