What is the research about?
- This study is about understanding speech and communication in people with aphasia.
- This survey asks about your thoughts on understanding speech.
- It also asks what you do to help your loved one with aphasia in daily life.
- You will complete a short survey. You will also answer some questions about yourself at the end.
Where does this research study take place?
Online (via survey platform such as REDCap)
Can I participate virtually?
Yes
Who is this study for?
- SLPs if you are: a certified SLP or SLP-CE in the United States working with clients with aphasia, age 18 or older, and English-speaking
- Care Partners if you are: the primary caregiver of someone who was diagnosed with aphasia at least 6 months prior to completing the survey, age 18 or older, and English-speaking
Who is this study not for?
- SLPs if you are: under 18 years of age , not a licensed SLP or SLP-CF , and Non-English speakers
- Care Partners if you are: participants with a diagnosis of aphasia, neurodegenerative disease, or traumatic brain injury (TBI) , not a primary caregiver, difficulty with reading, and Non-English speakers
