What is the research about?

  • Participants will listen to short clips and read subtitles during simple language tasks.
  • The study includes people with aphasia after stroke, older adults, and younger adults.
  • We hope this research will improve understanding of language and communication.
  • Participation is voluntary, and breaks can be taken at any time.

Who is this study for?

  • You have aphasia.
  • You do not have any other neurological disorders.
  • You speak North American English.
  • You have normal hearing and vision (glasses/hearing aids are OK!).

Who is this study not for?

  • You have other neurological conditions other than aphasia.
  • You do not speak North American English.
  • You do not have normal hearing and vision (glasses and hearing aids are OK).

Will I be compensated for this study, or are there costs?
