Eleni Christou-Franklin
Eleni Christou-Franklin has dedicated more than 14 years to the field of aphasia as Executive Director of the Houston Aphasia Recovery Center (HARC), leading programs and partnerships that support individuals with aphasia following stroke or brain injury. With over 20 years of experience in nonprofit management and development nationwide, she brings expertise in organizational leadership, fundraising, and strategic planning, and holds an MBA from the University of Houston–Downtown. In 2024, her work became deeply personal when she became an aphasia care partner to her mother-in-law, reinforcing her commitment to improving quality of life for people with aphasia, their families, and caregivers.
