From ongoing virtual support groups to aphasia education and training opportunities, our programs are created with accessibility and inclusion at their core. We also host special events throughout the year that celebrate community, raise awareness, and promote learning. Learn more about the types of events we offer below.
The National Aphasia Association hosts a select number of virtual group programs that align with our mission of connection, support, and empowerment for persons with aphasia and their care partners. Most groups meet once or twice per month and are listed on our events calendar. Please review each listing for a description and to see if a group may be a good fit for your specific needs.
In addition to hosting our own groups, the NAA also helps people with aphasia and their families find in-person and virtual groups across the country. Whether you’re looking for a regional meet-up or a specialized group, we’re here to help connect you. Visit our provider directory or email us at answers@aphasia.org for assistance.
The NAA offers education and training to help people better understand aphasia and how to support communication. These programs are for people with aphasia, families, healthcare providers, and the public. We offer monthly online sessions with different topics and tracks. Some sessions are designed for people who are new to aphasia, while others are for those who want to learn more. You’ll find practical tips, real stories, and helpful tools.
All upcoming sessions are listed on our events calendar. If you’re not sure which session is right for you, or if you have questions, email us at answers@aphasia.org, and we’ll help you find the best fit.
