- Investigates how individuals with language disorder (i.e., aphasia) understand and produce language.
- Involves a comprehensive assessment of language and cognitive abilities, with emphasis on connected speech sampling.
- Investigates neural correlates of connected speech in aphasia using MRI.
- Behavioral testing can be completed online or in person.

Behavioral testing (online or in person at FSU) and MRI Brain Scanning (in person at FSU)

Who is this study for?
- Left-hemisphere aphasia
- Onset due to a stroke or dementia
- English as first language
- Age 40-85 years old
Who is this study not for?
- History of self-reported head trauma and psychotic disorder resulting in significant cognitive sequelae;
- Severe motor speech deficit upon prescreening assessment
- Western Aphasia Battery-R Aphasia Quotient score > 93
- Non-English speakers
