Aphasia, Free

DailyWords, a barrier-free, self-directed therapy tool for online and mobile use. DailyWords is designed as an adjunct to aphasia therapy and is freely accessible at https://www.dailywords-project.org/?lang=en. People with aphasia can use it independently, and therapists can also integrate it into treatment through a supervision mode.

Stefan Knecht is located at the Heinrich-Heine University Düsseldorf in Germany and works at the intersection between neuroscientific research and hands-on neurorestorative care linking the Institute of Clinical Neuroscience and Medical Psychology with clinical neurorehabilitation.

We study mechanisms of decision making and learning and how they can be integrated into intelligent real and virtual training. Trying to turn these approaches into clinical routines is a very instructive and at times sobering undertaking. Additionally we analyze and reflect on clinical routines themselves and try to come up with better paths of care.
