RecallAWord: Recall Anything
RecallAWord began as a personal project. The creator, Daniel Ferry, has expressive aphasia, which sometimes makes it difficult to remember certain words, especially while speaking. He built the app to help himself find those missing words quickly, and later discovered the app could help recall much more than words.
Users simply describe what they know. RecallAWord uses AI to interpret natural-language clues and generate likely answers.
RecallAWord was intentionally designed with simplicity in mind. The interface uses large, readable text and straightforward navigation so people can focus on finding answers rather than learning a complicated app.

About the Creator:
Daniel Ferry is a systems engineer and software developer whose career has included decades of work supporting NASA satellite programs, IRS systems development, and, most recently, AWS and Azure cloud services for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. He is Vice President of D & N Associates, Ltd., where he now develops independent software applications.
Daniel has expressive aphasia and created RecallAWord initially to address his own difficulty retrieving words, particularly during conversation. His personal experience shaped the app’s emphasis on simplicity, large readable text, and the ability to either type or speak a clue. What began as a tool for finding missing words evolved into an app that can also help recall names, people, movies, songs, places, and other information from natural-language clues.
