Honoring Advocacy. Advancing Equity. Empowering Change.

The National Aphasia Association is honored to announce a new opportunity for researchers, clinicians, and community leaders working at the intersection of aphasia and health equity.

Established in memory of Dr. Davetrina Seles Gadson, a tireless advocate and scholar devoted to dismantling disparities in aphasia care, this fund supports small but impactful projects that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and access in aphasia services, research, or community engagement.

💡 What’s Being Offered

We are offering up to three mini-grants of up to $500 each to support community-based, research-informed, or advocacy-driven projects that:

  • Address health disparities in aphasia diagnosis or treatment
  • Center voices and experiences of underserved populations
  • Improve culturally responsive care or outreach in aphasia
  • Support inclusive programming or accessible resources

While the available funding is modest, we hope it will seed ideas and amplify voices doing this essential work.
