At Nova Southeastern University, students from several different health care disciplines learned about living with aphasia thanks to NAA Board Members Barbara and Steve Kessler. The story of Barbara’s challenges living with aphasia served as a challenge to student teams to design innovative technological solutions.

The NAA is excited to announce the relaunch of our newly updated Aphasia Quiz! Now more interactive, accessible, and up to date with the latest information . This quiz is designed to support everyone from professionals, to curious learners, to our growing Ambassador community.

The NAA is honored to announce a new opportunity for researchers, clinicians, and community leaders working at the intersection of aphasia and health equity. Established in memory of Dr. Davetrina Seles Gadson, a tireless advocate and scholar devoted to dismantling disparities in aphasia care, this fund supports small but impactful projects that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and access in aphasia services, research, or community engagement.

Research plays a critical role in improving the lives of people with aphasia — and everyone should be able to participate in that progress. We’re proud to announce the launch of two upgraded features on our website, designed with both researchers and research participants in mind. They reflect our commitment to making research more accessible, inclusive, and impactful—and to supporting the professionals who help move aphasia science forward.
